Dialog ‘Options’ - CoDeSys V2.3 converter

Symbol

Function: This dialog is for the definition of mappings for the conversion of CoDeSys V2.3 projects.

Call: Menu Tools ‣ Options , category CoDeSys V2.3 converter

Devices

List and definition of the device conversion mappings.

All device mappings in this listing become effective during the next conversion of a CoDeSys V2.3 project. Thus you do not have to recreate the mapping definition if the same device is used in several projects.

Source Device A double-click on an entry or an empty field opens the Select Source Device dialog. CODESYS lists all devices there that the converter can process.
Target Device

A double-click on an entry or an empty field opens the Select Target Device dialog.

  • Select a target device from the list of installed devices below: Confirm the selection with OK
  • None: the source device will not be available in the new project. This also means that application-specific objects such as the task configuration are not adopted.
Visualizations
Defines the handling of the target and web visualization settings when you open a CoDeSys V2.3 project.

Import of Targetvisualizations

Import of Webvisualizations

Selection list

  • Ask the user once: CODESYS requests the user to define the settings only the first time an “old” visualization project is imported. After that CODESYS automatically applies the settings with all further visualization imports.
  • Ask the user: CODESYS requests the user to define the settings each first time an “old” visualization project is opened.
  • Setting from Device Description: CODESYS sets the settings in accordance with the entries in the device description of the installed target device.
  • Try to imitate old behavior: this option is available only if the device currently in use supports the option. The effect of this option is that target or web visualization settings correspond as accurately as possible to the settings in the old project.

Hint

The target visualization does not support access to VAR_IN_OUT variables, since the compiler does not permit this. This behavior corresponds to the behavior of CoDeSys V2.3 target visualizations.
